Sweetheart Candy Topiary/Valentine Vignette ♥

Good Morning ladies.. Happy Monday!
Mine is a Happy Monday cause I am home today, a little unexpected due to one of my boys still getting over a weekend bout of the flu :(
He's resting upstairs so I have time to share a "sweet" craft of mine and my Valentine display:)

It feels SOO good to be back to blogging and crafting once again!!
Its nice to hear sweet comments about the creations you make:)
I DO appreciate all of your bloggy love SOO much ♥
So I was inspired by my friend Jennie from Craft-O-Maniac, to make a topiary out of a coffee mug!
So simple, but I never thought of it, ha!
Thats where that girl comes in handy... love ya Jen!!

This little project cost me around $4 cause I had to buy the styrofoam ball, some floral foam to hold it in place inside the mug, a bag of those "Oh So Cute but HORRIBLY tasting" Conversation Candy Hearts and a spool of Valentine ribbon from Targets $1 section!
I had the clear coffee mug, paint and pink paper grass at home already:)

So here's what I did...
Just used some Pink acrylic paint I had at home and one of these sponge brushes...

I painted the foam ball pink because I knew I couldn't completely cover the ball with candy, I also painted a large popsicle stick that I had for the "stick" which I attached the ball too. (Kinda flimsy, I recommend using a dowel rod like others use but I didn't have one). I attached the base of the stick to a hunk of green floral foam which I hot glued to the bottom of the mug (sorry no pics of that). Then I stuffed the mug using this shredded pink paper, which is actually paper Easter grass that I got last year on clearance!! I hot glued a pink chipboard heart to the mug for a little cute detail!!
I then began to hot glue the candy hearts onto the ball; it got a little top heavy so I had to add a bit more hot glue to the base to hold it in place.

I added some Valentine ribbons to the handle for some added pizazz!
And VOILA... a super cute and sweet Candy Topiary for Valentines Day:)

...........................................
Here are some shots of the old fashioned record player that I have in my living room (it was my grandmothers)... and the Valentine Vignette (love that FANCY word!) that I created on the top.

 What do you think?
I added the candy topiary here along with a Vintage Valentine banner I created (will post that one tomorrow). The runner on the top is still up from Christmas; but its red so I ran with it:)
What doesn't say LOVE more than a beautiful wedding photo and a lovely family photo?

This rose vase came from our bedroom, and the 2 little paper heart boxes were $1 each at Dollar Tree! I love this wedding photo of hubs and I; the background is beautiful ♥

This big frame came from TJ Maxx for $5; its very old looking and I love it ♥
Just added another little candle from around the house cause it had some pink on it:)
Thanks for stopping by today!!

I've linked up with...

Have a great day ♥

P.S. I don't know what could be causing your computer woes...wish I could help, I know it's frustrating when they won't behave...I've had my share of computer woes myself before....and it isn't fun. I personally think the things oughta be able self fix, and to take orders by my verbal command...lol!
