Great finds, feeling guilty:(

So today Brian took the boys to run errands with him to give me a little break! He has been working a lot lately between his new job and for his dad's restaurant. I have hardly seen him, but have been with the boys round the clock; which has been very tiring! I ran a couple errands and found myself being called to Goodwill- a different one this time. Found some cool stuff:) I was all excited about my finds, feeling crafty and inspirational too; I got home to see a grouchy Brian complaining about how messy our house is, as he was doing the dishes from yesterday! So I began to feel guilty for bringing home "more junk" as he would say. I didn't spend a lot of money and have good intentions on using the items.
I did put some things back that I felt I/we didn't really need for the house.

I am on a mission now to declutter our home of all the things I have been hanging onto; thinking that I will use again. I am a SENTIMENTAL PACKRAT!! I have such a hard time getting rid of work that Gavin brings home from school, I feel sad and guilty throwing it away! So I have to force myself to do it when he isn't looking. Our main problem in this house is the lack of storage to make things look organized! What I wouldn't give for built-in bookshelves in our kids rooms and especially in our basement area!!

Look at his cool old mirrored tray?
I think I am going to hang it up as a mirror in our bedroom.

Here is the back side of it; that is why I think its old!!

I really liked how this frame was made; kinda worn out looking. I am debated whether or not to spray paint it or leave it as is, but the picture is coming out of it! lol I am using the toile paper I found at Michael's for inside the frame.

Same goes with this one! The ducks gotta go and its getting sprayed black and the damask patterned paper is going inside. Wonder how it will turn out?

I thought these hook/shelves were a steal and cute too. Thinking of hanging a couple pot holders from them!

Miss Bunny wanted to spend Easter at our house this year! So she came home with me too:)

CUTE!!

I had 2 more GREAT finds today but they are going to be in another post.
I'm off to take care of a MESSY HOUSE!!!!

Shhh! Silent Shopping Saturday!!

Can you see the excitement in my eyes?? This morning was "Silent Shopping Saturday" for me!!

Now you are probably wondering what that means? It means, I got up at 6:30 am and went shopping by myself, without my kids!! Hence, the silence! lol It was SOOOOO fun and relaxing, I think I will do my shopping this way from now on!!

Thank goodness for eye drops and make-up this morning; cause I do NOT look like this when I roll out of bed!

Uh-oh, what time is it? 7:32 am and I'm pulling out of the driveway, by myself- hehe!!

I do LOVE my boys with all my heart, but I REFUSE to take them shopping anymore!

My last stop today was GOODWILL!! It was 50% off today also. I found this Home Interiors Pie Plate in Apple; just like my kitchen! Got it for $2.00!! So CUTE! I had a pie plate before but got rid of it last summer at my yard sale and had been regretting it, so this pie plate makes a great replacement! It has 2 little chips on it but you can't even really tell!

Found these 3 Partylite votive cups, too cute for $1.50!!
The best deal of the day was an antique box lined with silk that women used to put their gloves in. I already gave it to my mom so I don't have a pic yet. We found out that its at least 100 years old and sells for up to $250 in antique stores... and I found it for $0.50!!!! UNREAL!!

These next pics aren't in the right order, but oh well. I just remembered the other day that I have this glass Trifle Bowl from Pampered Chef and I have always wanted to use it as a table centerpiece. So I stopped at Menards and found these pretty silver shatterproof ball ornaments and the pinkish-red glass ones and put them inside the trifle bowl with a tall mulberry scented pillar in the middle! Its SOOO pretty:)

These white snowflakes were ornaments that I got in a set of 4 for $0.50 yesterday at Target so I slid them into the sides for extra pretty sparkle! I was feeling very Martha Stewart-ey today- minus the prison sentence, lol!!

Here is what I used in the bowl that came from Menards, less than $9.00 for all of this!

Found this pretty crinkled purple top at Walmart this morning! It has sparkley buttons and little rhinestones on it. I'm planning to wear it on New Years.

Got the last Gingerbread House photo holder from Kohl's for $2.00 today! Sniff, sniff! I got my mom one of these and a ginger-girl one for Christmas.

Wrapping paper, at last!! Found all of these at Walmart and...

the cute gingerbread paper that my friend Holly paid full price for!! lol (Sorry Holly just teasing you honey!!) I got mine for $2.50:)

Martha Stewart CUTE, CUTE, CUTE scrapbook paper for like $4.00!! I have been drooling over this paper for a couple weeks now and was so happy when they still had some!!!

I picked up these little ornaments for my pink glitter Goodwill tree that I found awhile back. I did jazz that tree up tonite and its mighty CUTE, but my camera died so the pics will be on tomorrow! These little ornaments were only $0.50 each!

I hope you all have found some great after Christmas deals! This is what I usually spend my Christmas money on, lol! Stuff for next year:) It was so nice to just get away today and wander aimlessly from store to store, enjoying being able to look at things without distraction! Maybe I was chosen to have 2 sons as a way to curb my shopping addiction? Boys hate to shop but I love too, so you'd think I'd learn to stop taking them shopping with me!! No, they are precious but very, very busy! And I know that a shopping cart is NO fun for them:)

Gotta get some sleep ladies, more stuff tomorrow! I am still sorting through about 200 photos from Christmas, whew! SOME of those will be up soon too.
