Didn't you have some sort of fun surprise for your guests? Something that you and Brian or the wedding party did???

♥ Noelle ♥ said...

Holly... Well it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to but Brian and I were introduced into the reception by the Chris Brown song "Forever" like the Wedding video that is all around youtube. We "tried" to do a lil dance but Brian wasn't into it. He know says he wishes we would have actually practiced it ahead of time; instead of winging it. It was fun and lots of people said it was cute... but oh well, not everything in life goes according to plan!!

Ha-ha! Well I'm sure it was still cute!

I can't tell you how many times we were supposed to do something but bobby failed to tell me that he wasn't really into it. After all these years, I still take his silence as a yes! Live and learn! ♥

Looking back, what's the one thing you would change (if anything)

What was the biggest surprise of the day?

Did you actually get to eat your dinner/cake? :)

I love weddings, I could ask questions all day long.

Good ?'s girl! The one thing I'd change... hmmmm, I would have made someone tighten the corset on my dress!! It was loose in the bust all day and at the end of the evening; it was very stretched out and looked bad in a lot of the pics! The ladies from the bridal shop where I bought my dress from were at our reception; and I never thought to ask them to relace the back of my dress!

Did I eat cake/dinner? I ate a small dinner and about half a piece of cake! Too busy chatting with everyone to eat a lot!

The biggest surprise of the day... was (1) the weather; when I woke up that morning, it was GORGEOUS out! I thought, "Thank you God for answering my prayers!!" and (2) that our little one didn't cooperate at all!!! I thought for sure that we could have gotten him down the aisle with his lil ring bearer pillow, but NOPE!! I look back at some of the pics now with our family and he isn't in half of them cause he was so worn out/wound up!!!

Brenda...

Nope no special gift. We were very broke come the wedding! I just gave him a card; we pretty much agreed not to get each other a gift.

My "something old" was my grandma's wedding band that I wore on my right hand- I received this before she past away and have always held it near and dear to my heart ♥ My "something new" was my jewelery that I purchased for my wedding day- necklace and earrings. My "something borrowed" was a pretty bracelet of my moms and my "something blue" was my underwear... LOL!!! Aren't ya glad you asked??

Vicki...
I posted a "you ask, I'll tell" a couple of months ago and another gal asked how Brian and I met. So I went back to that post and copied my answer to here for you...

"Brian and I met in high school when we were sophomores. I kinda liked him, he REALLY liked me but I thought he was TOO nice and it annoyed me that he wore hooded sweatshirts ALL the time! (I kinda thought it was dorky! lol) I broke up with him after Christmas time cause I liked a "bad boy"! I guess Brian was pretty hurt by that so we didn't talk till the end of our Senior year.

I started dating a guy my Junior year that I was with for 2 1/2 years; that guy and my Brian were good friends. After high school, Brian went off to college and met a girl, "fell in love" and they were together for almost 2 years as well. He proposed to her at 18, I think. We still talked from time to time as friends. One day he came to me and said, "I feel like you need to here this... "B***Y" cheated on you with a woman he works with" I was like WHAT!! I was FURIOUS and very hurt. B***Y and I split up not long after that, then I have him a 2nd chance to find out he was cheating again! I was done.

A couple months later, I heard that Brian moved back into town! He had split up with his "fiance" and left college because she had cheated on HIM!

We kinda met up at a party one night and it was "all she wrote" from there. There was MAJOR attraction between us ♥!♥!♥ We dated and FELL IN LOVE! We were together about 6 months then he got in a car accident, it took a huge toll on him emotionally and he split up with me. I was SO devasted!!

We were just a couple weeks shy of moving in together and I was SO in love with him:( We saw each other off and on for a few months after that but didn't get back together till over a year and a half after that. Not long after that, I found out I was pregnant with our oldest son, we moved in together and have been back together ever since February of 2001!

We have been thought SO much; it has been such a TOUGH journey! But I am thrilled that we matured together as a couple and with our love, and will finally be MR and MRS in 3 months!

Oh yeah, he FINALLY proposed to me in March of 2008! And now... we are MARRIED ♥"

What a story, eh??

Noelle,
It just goes to show you two were suppose to be together but you went through alot to get to this place! Your story reminds me a little of my own life when hubby & me dated in high school & then went our own way only to find each other again several years later down the road. We have been married 36 years now.
Noelle I wish you & Brian many years of happiness & so glad you found your way back to each other.
