Think happy thoughts and GOOD will come your way!

Ok gals... you will NOT believe this!!
You all know I'm trying to change my thinking/feelings lately...
Instead of being a grump all day when things don't go right, I'm looking for a FEW GOOD thing that happen in a day that make me SMILE!

Yesterday I was heading to the post office and almost felt a "magnetic force" pulling me to Goodwill. Seriously! I turned the corner at the last minute; cause I was talking myself out of going cause I figure my hubby would respond "Why are you bringing more crap home?". But SOMETHING kept telling me inside my head "GO TO GOODWILL". So I did, found a couple frames, nothing too exciting...
I headed back to the furniture area and to my surprise was the HUTCH shown above.

I've been WHINING begging and wanting a hutch for SOOOO long!
I knew I'd never get a brand new one cause they are pricey and we just can't afford it right now.
I'm tired of the darn bakers rack in my kitchen that is a dumping ground for CLUTTER!
Have you ever watched the show HOARDERS?
OMGoodness!
I seriously have a COMPLEX from that show, I am trying to declutter all the stuff that "I think I should save cause we will use it again"! By NO MEANS am I as bad as the HOARDERS on that show but I feel like we are outgrowing our home and its just FULL!

So anyway, I see the hutch and about FLIP!!
Its marked $100!
BUMMER:(

I took a pic on my phone and sent it to my hubby; he said if I wanted it bad enough to make GW an offer.
I would have gladly paid $50 for it right then and there!
So I made the offer and the manager was like "Sorry I can't , we just had a 50% off sale this past Saturday. If you come back Thursday, we will have another 50% off sale. I thought, ok... I can come back, I'll just pray that its there! Then DUH I remembered that I have to work Thursday morning!
I went home a bit frantic because I have been looking for SOOO long for a nice hutch; and I didn't want to lose the chance to get it for $50!

So I kinda moped at home, telling hubby over and over how BAD I wanted this hutch.
So he said he'd go to GW and take a look at it and see if they'd make him an offer!
Muah, thanks hubby ♥

So about a half hour later, I get a text from him that the sales guy that rang me up (and gave me the 50% off SENIOR DISCOUNT, LOL!!) told him he couldn't give him a deal, that maybe we could bring someone in with us that would "qualify" as a senior.

Well the conversation between the young male cashier and my hubby eventually went to something like this...

Hubby: "Come on man, you can't give me a deal. Someone donated this item here for free."

Cashier: "Well if you "hook" me up I will give ya the 50% off senior discount."

Hubby: "Ok, what do you mean by "hook" you up, like $10?"

Cashier: "$20 bucks man and its yours for $50."

Hubby: "Alright man, deal!"

YESSSSSSSSSS!!!

I know thats SO bad but ITS MINE and they still profited $50 off of it!!
So as the young man was helping hubby load MY HUTCH in our truck, hubby shook the kids hang and slipped him the $20!

So this lil hutch you see above is going in my kitchen today!
I'd really like to paint it white, but I still have some convincing the hubby on that;)
So all in all yesterday was a GREAT day...
Hubby and I went on our lunch date, I got my HUTCH, went to zumba last night then a friend and I went out for ONE LOW CARB BEER after ZUMBA!

HEY... Don't judge! It was for CELEBRATION!! LOL 8-)

I'd better get to work on cleaning out the kitchen to get the hutch in there so I can show it off to you gals tomorrow:)

Love ya,
Noelle ♥

A husband's got to do what a husband's got to do to make his wife happy!

What a cute hutch. You're going to love it - but I agree, it's screaming out for painting!
