This is my oldest handsome son Gavin's 1st grade photo from school! Doesn't he look like a little college preppy boy? He really needed a haircut but we weren't able to squeeze one in, in time. He likes to get his hair buzzed really short and lately has been asking to get it "bald" like daddy's!! Brian offers to do it for him in his "garage barber shop" but Gavin always yells "NOOOO" and runs away! LOL He is such a character; I cannot believe that he will be 8 in July:( Time has flown by WAY too fast with him! I look at him now and listen to the things he says and can't help but believe that he will be "something" VERY SPECIAL one day! He told me today that when he grows up he wants to be a VOLCANOLOGIST!!! Whoa baby:) And I have not doubt that if he sets his mind to it, he will be!!
What do your children say they want to be when they "grow up"? Or if your children are grown, did they "become" what they always wanted to be?? Ever since kindergarten I have wanted to be a teacher and a mom; I have accomplished one of those! Just wish I was paid for being a mom!! LOL

Awww, he does look like a preppy college boy! School pictures these days have come a long way. I remember when I was in school you just got a blue ugly blue background and my mom always made my bangs so poofy! LOL!
He is adorable and I love the preppy look. My boys had such dark hair to so when we cut it short it still looked nice.
My kids are grown Rian always loved cooking and did become a chef.April said lawyer,but getting pregnant so early in life she went with a nurse,but always had the heart for it.My baby son we always laughed at wanted to ride the trash truck...so glad he s a landscaper hehe.
I always wanted to be a mom and stay home with my kids.

Bobby gave my boys an option. Let dad cut your hair or you pay for the barber! Ha-ha! They let him do it until they had full time jobs.
For years, Micah wanted to be a Doctor. When he was around 5, he'd have a big stack of books by his side that he'd be looking through and he'd say "I'm studying to be a doctor!" I spent a lot of money on medical related materials for our home school to help him along but then one day, he dropped the whole idea like a hot potato! All my boys are that way! Well, with 4 boys, I'd be here all day telling you their vocational adventures, so I'll stop there! But I will say that I wanted to be a K teacher, zoo keeper and forrest ranger and with 4 woods lovin animal boys- that all worked out!

I've finally got to get back on my computer for a bit. Whoever said that "life can be a little hectic" sure was right.
What a handsome lad you have there. I can see why you would be so proud!!
I can't remember what my girls wanted to be...except my oldest wanted to travel. She got to do that while she was in the army. My son has always been a daredevil. Still is! He is an ironworker (walks on beams high in the air) & he stills races motorcycles.
But the funniest thing came from my youngest granddaughter. She wants to be President so she can have her picture on all the dollar bills and everyone can see her. LOL I have no doubt that she will be famous some day!
