Good Day at Goodwill!

Hi there! Hope you all had a great weekend:) Ours was a busy one! We had 2 graduation parties to go to then the boys and I stopped off at one of our Goodwill's yesterday where we did some "treasure hunting"! I think I have my oldest son loving Goodwill, lol! He likes to see all the cool things you can find for SUPER CHEAP!

Above is a pic of a cute basket I found with strawberries painted on the front:)

Here are 2 of the tea cups I found. The one on the left looks "old" to me. I want to do some research online to see if any of the tea cups I have found are of any value. Its nice to know if you have a piece or two that is worth a good amount of money!

I just loved this little cute one:)

This one is very pretty too; it has yellow and pink flowers on it. Do you ever wonder the "story" behind the treasures that you find? Like, was this tea cup maybe used by a great-grandma having a little tea party with her great-granddaughter?? Kinda sweet!

Here is another cute cup and saucer with red, blue and green!

This was my #1 find... a lovely pitcher! It was marked $3.00 but I don't think the girl saw the tag and charged me $0.25!!! WOW! It has a small crack on the backside and it looks old to me, now I am drawing a blank on what it says on the bottom... I'll have to do a search on this one too!

I just thought the kids on this plate were too cute! I was only almost 12 years old in 1990 when this plate came out; I knew then that I always wanted to be a mommy and here I am one today:)

This cross had NO price on it so the gal gave it to me for a quarter also!! I am going to spray paint it white and hang it in our living room!
I have wanted one of these crosses for a long time too!

I also picked up this patriotic scarf with '76 on it! That was 2 years BEFORE I was born! It MAY go in one of my lucky girls swap packages:)

I arranged for my future mother in law to watch our boys tonite for us so we could have a DATE night; which rarely ever happens! We went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant where I had a yummmmmy black bean and cheese quesadilla and was naughty and had a raspberry margarita too! We went to see The Hangover after that, which was a FUNNY movie but very dirty, so if you are INNOCENT of mind... do not watch it! It made my hunny laugh which I think he needed so that was worth it to me:)

Not much is going on this week other than my classes, we have a playdate with some friends Wednesday at a place with a bunch of giant inflatables for the kids to bounce in!! The boys will love this! I want to get some flowers planted in my hanging baskets too.

What are your plans???

Noelle ♥

Hey there sweetie,

WOW - you did indeed snatch up a great loot at the GoodWill. I love treasure hunting there. You never know if you got there on just the right day. I recently bought some brass candle holders (wall mounted) at out local thrift store - with a sweet flower in the middle and just sprayed them white and OMGosh - amazing...

I am gardening this weekend too - a bit late in the season but I think some color will really bring some joy to the dreary weather here in SO CAL...enough rambling. Have a super week...

I just love all the tea cups you found! I went all over here looking for some before my mother's day tea. I wanted to be all Martha Stewartish and turn mine into candles but couldn't find anything I liked. I have a vision of what they should look like, I wanted floral ones and the stuff here was just ugo!
Glad you had date night! Brad and I need to do that, there's been some movies out lately I want to go to and I always love Mexican food! We like this chain called Don Pablos that's by my parents so it's convienent, I always splurge and get cheese queso. Yum yum!

PS: Cute new profile pic!

{Hugs} Have a favor to ask you, will email you about it!

Score! I think the cup and pitcher are old too but the newer rose one is very cutie pie and cottagey!

I found some cute stuff last night too and if I would have had more money I would have gotten even more! They are finally getting stalked up again and prices have come back down! Yay!

I don't have any plans for the week! ♥

Ha-ha! Forgot to tell you that I had a dream about you this morning!

I ran into you at the airport on my way to Thailand to pick up Micah from the baby sitters! Ha-ha! You and some girl friends were there at a make up counter getting make overs! I gave you a big hug but you seemed really shy!

I just love all the treasures you found at Goodwill! Like you said, it's always fun to do some research on some of the items to see if they're of any value. I do that a lot with stuff I buy at the auctions. Oh yes, I'm always wondering at the history behind them too...who used them, where did it come from, etc:-)

I was hoping to finish planting my flowers this week but it's been raining and cold the last couple of days so not sure if I'll get it done. Summer will be over before I can if it keeps up this way! lol xoxo
