Welcome to Scrapbook Sunday! Last week I posted about "getting creative" and coming up with hand-made things to add to your scrapbook pages. I went through another one of my oldest son's albums and found MORE CREATIVE things, done by MOI! Yay, I may have a knack for this sort of thing:)The layout above is from when Gavin was 5 and went on a field trip to a local Woods; to learn about trees and how they are tapped for maple syrup! The idea of making the paper tree came from one of my Creative Memories page layout books; I cut the tree out by hand and punched out some maple leaves with my Leaf Punch, then added various spring stickers- such as the birds, worms, and flowers! It came out waaaay better than I though it would!

This layout was from a field trip to Domino's Pizza when Gavin was in Pre-K. Each child got to make their own pizza, and his came out YUMMY! As I was doing this layout, I was irritated that I didn't have any pizza stickers! 'Cause as I admitted previously, I AM A STICKER JUNKIE!! LOL So, the creative part of my brain spoke up and said, "Duh, make a DOMINO!!" So I just punched out two red squares and added the dots and cut a blye rectangle and wa-la...
a Domino's Pizza domino was born!!

For this layout, I just cut ovals from my Custom Cutting System and added various punched circles, waves, and the top egg was done using the CM Bubble Maker!

This layout still CRACKS me up! One Sunday, Brian, Gavin and I were sitting around and we had the idea of dressing our cat Maddie up in Build-A-Bear clothes!! Being that Maddie is a "ditzy" cat, she had no clue what the heck we were doing to her, so she just laid there and let us play dress up!! LOL Then she began to roll around on the floor trying to get the clothes off! By the way, we are BIG Cub's fans in this house:)

I made my own baseballs by punching out circles, then drawing the red "seams" by myself. They did come out pretty cute!

Again in the midst of having NO Dalmation stickers for this page... I thought to punch out a bunch of black dots and scatter them all over the page. When Gavin was 4 and 5, he was obsessed with playing dress up at school; the little girls LOVED him for this. He was in his dalmation doggie garb on the day I visited his class and volunteered!! What a NUT!!

Very creative, Noelle! Perfect domino! You are very artistic! Many girls would just think, "Too bad I don't have a sticker for that." But not you! Where there's a will there's a way!
So many of my shots are just random ones so it's hard to come up with themes. I always remember to bring my camera along for "events" but I forget to take pictures!
Hope *you* have a great day. I'm all PMSed. Grrrrr! A walk and a nap helped. ♥
Theme-a-holic! Ha-ha! I used to be, too; especially in my raising the older boys. I think I finally figured out that Micah didn't get into it. He's such a dry- no nonsense- education kind of guy.
With the older guys, I used to kick off the Summer with a theme. One year it was space, the next it was boxing. Christopher reminded me the other day that I even made up a song one Summer. Those are fun memories! ♥
I love you handmade accents, those are the best. They stretch your creativity and let you use up what you have on hand. I plan on getting back to posting Scrapbook Sunday soon, I've just had too much else to post on lately. I try not to have a zillion posts all on one day and I try to post event photos like the tulip festival right after the event so they sometimes interfer with my usual weekly participation.
Wow Noelle, that is very creative of you. I would have just gone to the store and bought my stickers and then have my Hubby complaining I am spending money:)
Great fun pages. Sounds like you got some fancy tools!
You are such a creative gal!!! I just love looking at your scrapbook pages, your imagination is superb:-) I used to be a stickers junkie when I had penpals but gave away most of them now. I wish I would have known you love stickers sooner, you would have gotten a huge box! lol xoxo
