Hey gals!
How's your weekend so far?
I'm trying extra hard to be in a better mood this year... so far, so good! lol
I am getting a sore throat with all that yucky drainage... why???
Anywho, we got like 15" of snow last night or some craziness!!
Its really pretty out there though, and really cold!!
Here's a few pics of our yard this morning...
The mailbox!! I can always tell what fresh snow fell by how much is on the TOP of the mailbox...
now that I look at it, I think I want to spray paint that sucker this spring to something a bit more vibrant... yellow??
Our almost buried SUV!
Woo-hoo for 4x4!
We can't park it on our drive in this weather, cause it slides back down even with the emergency break on!
Our big maple in the front,
looks so pretty with the snow on it!
Hubby's work van, BURIED!!
I was trying to get a shot out the kitchen window to the backyard but my cute gingy window clings are stealing the show!!!
.............................................................................................................
So today I had to run to the store and thought...
"Why not run to Michael's to blow that gift card on some fun crafty stuff?"
Turns out my hubby needed me to run and errand for him right out by Michael's so...
cha-ching!! Perfect chance to head there! And here is what I got...
I wanted a Memory Box for some misc. wedding things that we could tuck away and look at each year on our anniversary... and I love this one and the saying!!
It was $8.99 and I had a 50% off coupon!! So $4.50!!
Here are a few items I placed inside... our response cards, an invite, our program, the boys flowers and one of each of our wedding favors... which reminds me, I never showed them to you!!!!
Believe me, I have about a hundred or so wedding pics I still want to show you but have put on the back burner with everything else!!
For half of the guests we had a deck of cards... cause Brian loves to play cards!
And well, you can't see this one!! But the other half of the guests got a hot cocoa packet with a chocolate spoon (a touch my mom added)... well, cause I LOVE chocolate!
I'll have to take a better pic of the hot cocoa packets for you to see.
You know at the reception, I never noticed how these napkins were folded, which I don't like OR how the favors were tucked inside the napkins... NOT crazy about that either!
Boy, you really do miss a lot at your own wedding don't you?
Back to the Michael's goodies...
A new Paper File!!
Oh do I need one of these!!
These were half off too; I think it was like $4!
A super cute Making Memories banner kit!!
It was $12.99; but I got it for 80% off!
You can makes the words NOEL, PEACE and JOY!!
Mini gingerbread garland a a snowflake garland for $1.50 each!
Scrapbook stickers for the bachelorette party, wedding and honeymoon!!
Mountains stickers for our honeymoon and these cute blingee words!!
Stickers for our honeymoon album for the Ripley's Aquarium page and the horse back riding adventure!! (LOL)
I got the stickers above at Walmart...
and a couple other things show below!
(Had a return there so used that $$ to purchase these things...)
Martha Stewart Opaque marker set!!
The doiley border maker!!
I love the scalloped look to this and can't wait to use it in our wedding album ♥
Look at these cute glittery letters!!!
......................................................................
All in all, a good day!
Me happy with all my deals ♥
My gift card was for $30 at Michael's and my total was $31.03!
Wow, $1.03 out of my own pocket...
NOT TOO SHABBY!!
Gage busy playing moon sand while I snapped all these pics ♥
He was sooo excited to use a "PLASTIC" knife!!
BOYS!!!
~Hope you all are enjoying 2010 so far!!~

Ha! I bought a doily punch with my Christmas money, too! So fun!
Are those your "new lips"? :)
What a cute sand idea! My Joseph would love that but I bet his mommy would not! ♥
Crazy snow... "WOW" I don't know that I could live in that. BRRRRR!
lOVE ALL YOUR cute cute finds at Michaels, love that store. Your wedding favor ideas were cute. Happy scrapping, when you get to it. I am so behind..... and those words would of never come out of my mouth a year and half ago. My baby will be lucky if he just gets his baby album one day. Have a great day!
Great finds, gotta love post Christmas sales!!!
We love moon sand around here. Aiden has a ton of it. Great for the summer, he sits outside and plays on the porch and whatever spills just blows away :)
Wow you got a ton of stuff!!! My Michael's was not so good for the after Christmas haul. I don't think they even had that banner at all. I love that doiley punch, I will have to look for that one. I need it:)
BTW I agree with Vickie the napkins looked fine. In fact with the stuff inside of them it was kind of like they were all wrapped up like a gift. Cute!
PS: I am so glad that snow dumped on you and not me.
That is a lot of snow. I would never leave the house if it snowed like that here.
I can't believe you got all that great stuff for $31. WOW! That rocks!
You got tons of snow!! We have not gotten hardly any at all really! You got a lot of things for your 30 card! I need to get over there and check out christmas clearance...but I have the flu...so I have to wait until I feel better. boooo :(
