:( Sucks!

Hey gals!
I missed the red carpet birthday event that I wanted to participate in yesterday, due to "flashy" vision and headaches. I don't know what is going on but I am miserable!

I keep getting awful headaches, my vision becomes fuzzy and almost "flashy" like lights...?
Its hard to focus on words, they seem to run together.
I have NO vision insurance, or $$ to go get an exam on my own right now!

I'm soo frustrated because my classes start next week and this is probably going to keep persisting on.
Its happened 4 times in the last week:(

Just wanted to update you all and let you know I'll be back on Sunday to draw a winner for my giveaway.
My eyes are bugging me right now so I've gotta get off of here.
Please pray this isn't anything severe!

Love ya,
Noelle ♥

I wish you'd go see your doctor about it at least because flashes of light in the eye could be due to retinal detachment. My mom had the same thing happen to her a few years ago and that's what it was. Or it could be caused by your migraine but if it lasts a couple more days, PLEASE go get it checked out. xoxo

I would definitely see a doctor too...it sounds like a migraine..at least that's what I get with mine, but you can never be too sure.

Take care and sending big hugz,
Michele

Hi Noelle....I used to get the visual disturbances too ....like an aura or white squiggley flashing lights and then a headache. The best thing to do when you get it is to lay down and close your eyes for awhile. Lay off the caffiene too. Also flourecent lights would bring mine on sometimes. Stress adds to the problem too.

Please lay off the caffeine. This was my doctor's advice for "flashy" headaches.

A lot of times insurances will cover eye doctor visits. It's just the glasses and lenses that aren't. I'd check, I'm sure you're PCP would write you a note to see one if you asked. A visit to your doctor might not be such a bad idea if you're having such bad headaches, might not be vision related but migrains and that they can treat.

Girl you have hasd so uch stress and what you describe sounds like quintessential Migrane sympotms.
Awful and quite debilitating.
Nothing though a normal GP could'nt help with.
Hope you get well soon

Sounds like migranes to me. I hate them...but that sqiggley line thing will drive you nuts!! Sorry you aren't feeling well.

Hi Noelle - sorry to hear you're not feeling great. If I am correct - these are ocular migranes (I get them quite a lot) -- but it was pretty scary at first. Mine go away after about 15 minutes and I get a dull headache. Luckily the headache is less severe than a normal migrane headache - so that is a blessing. Either way - just wanted to say hello and to wish you a happy new year! I love your wedding photo avatar! :)

Hi Noelle,
Yup..sounds like migraines and try some over the counter stuff...and maybe a trip to the ER may be necessary. Health/eyes are too important not to take care off!

I agree with the others, go see your Doc. They should be able to do something for you.

Sounds absolutley like a migraine. I get them. Do u have regular insurance? If not when u get a headache , try a cup of hot chocolate. Or drink peppermint tea. Lay down for 20 minutes and see if it goes away. I take Zomig. After years of taking different stuff , and seeing a neurologist, that is what works for me. Also stay away from wine, caffeine soda pop. . Also, is it on one side of the head ? When i get mine i see flashes , like bugs flying past me, i smell stuff stronger, lights are to much, ect. let me know if u want to know more about it. mishellle
