Almost time to REGISTER!

Its almost time for Brian and I to complete a Gift Registry for my Bridal Shower/Our Wedding!
I have eagerly awaiting this till NOW!
I CANNOT decide on certain things that I'd like to add; such as:
NEW bedding (we SOOO need it)
Curtains for our room and the living room
NEW dishes (?)
and so on...

I wanted to register at Target cause its one of my fave stores, but am not crazy about their bedding. All the bedding sets from Kohl's that I ♥ are like $300-$400- yikes!!
Do I just leave the bedding OFF the registry and use $$ that we receive as gifts to purchase what we'd really want from somewhere else?
I found a GREAT site online that a fellow blogger shared...
that has GORGEOUS bedding! (of course, its PRICEY!!)

We have lived here for over 8 years and a lot of out things are wearing out (towels) or need to be replaced, such as a broken Blender and coffee maker, crappy iron, and my 2 slot junky toaster, lol!

My mom suggested Wal-Mart because they have good prices and a BIG assortment of all household things; I though maybe Bed Bath and Beyond cause they have cool stuff, but that store is SO crammed that it overwhelms me!!

Did you register for gifts?
Any advice, insight you can share with me??

Whew!! I am looking forward to the wedding AND the day after when I can kick up my heels and say "Ahhhh, now I can relax! The wedding is over! No more plans to make!!"

Hugs,
Noelle ♥

We registered at target. I had no problems with them until I got two of the same silverware set and tried to return one and they wouldnt let me. even thought it was clearly from their store and off of my registry. The lady said "Thats what gift receipts are for" and my mom was like "no that is what a registry is for!" so we were really irritated and then at the wedding my husbands friend got us our book shelf but in brown instead of black and they would not let me swap that out either...so i was very disappointed in them. but their scanning your items was easy and their online adding to your registry was super easy...but their returning system is really stupid, when I brought them over 1,000 dollars worth of bussiness from my wedding. BEd bath and beyond is very good with returns without a receipt, if you are registered with them. oh, and you can register on amazon now. that is the best! You can get any brand of household stuff, your bed set and everything else on there at the prices you want if you are worried about expensive things at kohls and such. hope this is helpful!

Skip Target (and you know I love that store!) The return policy SUCKS and is so not worth it!

Bed Bath and Beyond is awesome!! They have a wonderful return policy and they have pretty much everything you could want. Plus, you'll get gift cards and you can use multiple 20% off coupons, $5 off coupons and they take competitors coupons if you find one for the same item they carry. When you register, my suggestion is to go in and do part of the store, go have lunch and then do the rest or finish up online.

Have you checked Macy's or anywhere like that? We did Target and BB&B but it was before Target changed their return policy. I love Khols too and while i've never done a registry there I've always had a super easy time returning stuff there.

Oh, and register for the bedding...someplaces give you a discount when you buy the rest of the stuff off your registry, you may end up getting part of it or accents which would mean you'd only need the bigger stuff to have a complete set.

HAVE FUN!!! I loved doing our registry!!!

I registered for my first wedding. We got pretty much everything on it and then money also. Sometimes, a framily would go in together and get us the bedding set and bathroom set etc. That way, it breaks down. I would register for everything I want and then if I didnt get it, I would use the money to buy whatever I didnt get. But that is just my opinion :) For my second wedding, we already had what we needed, so didnt register, just got lots of money to play with :) The second was better all around. The wedding and the guy, lol!!!!!

I registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond and Walmart. I would recommend those two places. For BB&B I set up the account online (HUGE time saver) and then we registered instore (and you can edit it online too!). For Walmart I did everything online, I agree with you, that place is crazy. By registering at Walmart lots of people gave us gift cards for there which really came in handy!

As far as bedding goes, I didn't register for any. After the wedding, I used gift cards and a 20% coupon (if you register there, they send you TONS of coupons!) to get our king size bedding set for $150.00!!

Nope, I never registered so people mostly gave us money which we thought was great because that way we were able to buy whatever we wanted in whatever store:-) I hate being limited to just one store. I know what you mean about things needing replacing after a few years...especially when you have kids!! xoxo
