Mostly Wordless Wednesday #12! NO WAY!!!

I have been needing to vent about this since it happened on Sunday; I thought a Mostly WORDLESS post would be fitting considering I was SPEECHLESS when my oldest son was NOT listening to me about running around the house with a rubber baseball on a string!!!

I told him it would end up hitting something and he would be in HUGE trouble if he broke anything of mine!

They say, MOTHER KNOWS BEST because sure enough on Sunday, he was running and CRASH!!!! My living room wall shelf FULL of antique dishes and tea cups/saucers I collect came crashing to the floor! I came around the corner and this is what I saw...

All but 4 of my lovely sentimental and some PRICEY collectibles, shattered on the living room floor! I literally did not know what to do or say! Brian came around the corner and proclaimed, "HOLY SH*T!!" I just stood there stunned, then screamed "GO TO YOUR ROOM". And a big speech came after that followed by a GROUNDING... but no BUTT WHOOPING! I contained myself; my son was crying saying "I'm a dumb kid..." over and over. I told him he wasn't a DUMB kid, but he made a really DUMB decision to run with the ball, after being told MANY times NOT TO DO IT!!!

So much for part of my collection:(

Not so much of a HAPPY WW here!

Noelle~

I remember many years ago a beautiful pink angel with roses Ihave! She was a $60 piece I had saved for! she was also why I painted the living room pink. Your brother Mikie was mad one day and really slammed the basement door. Many, many pieces! I just cried like mad. Don't remember what else happened but I was so sad i couldn't throw her away and she is still boxed in the basement. That is one very tearful pile. Hopefully he'll learn, if not I may have to have a Nana bootcamp for him!! A long overdo one! Mom

Oh no, how heartbreaking! I would have sat there and cried...then strangled him! lol I'm glad you handled it the way you did, though, no doubt he felt like a chit and he'll remember that for a long time to come. Hopefully next time mom or dad say "don't play with that in the house", he'll listen!!! xoxo
